Our Care Givers, that’s why!
When a Care Giver hires on with CLA, they enter a world where the Health, Safety and Welfare of our client is paramount. Basic health care procedures include:
- medication administration
- meeting clients dietary needs
- escorting our clients to doctor visits
In addition, care givers perform active roles:
- being apart of holiday celebrations
- going out to a movie/event
- seeing a significant other
- providing reliable transportation
Our Care Givers are not simply given a set of keys and told to have a good day. We train all new hires, whether they are experienced or new to care giving. We train to the standards of our licensure and to the needs of each client. We work closely with care givers until we are sure they have a total understanding of our expectations and can perform their duties. They also provide the care and love we expect our clients to receive. We provide many hours of annual in-servicing. We offer computerized modules where Care Givers can study at their own pace, as well as live instruction that is carried out by a qualified RN or a member of our Administrative team.
“I have a love and passion for the healthcare field and the residents I work with” – Paris, CLA Program Manager/Care Giver
Paris sums this up completely, a Care Giver must have a “love and passion” for their work. This love and passion is exactly what we look for in all applicants and employees. It is what gets us out of bed every morning and keeps us working every day. It takes a very special person to commit their time to what is sometimes the most difficult position anybody can hold.
